Same Light - Another Chapter Live

Another chapter of Same Light is available, "Something More" at https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/product/B0982LYQJH. This is the third chapter about Ifor, seen below, as withdrawn and introverted as he could be - so we're about to switch back to more of Kaymar's backstory with the next chapter.

I've found the interest in Same Light has fallen off pretty much completely, so I'm wrestling with continuing the project or letting it go, unpublishing on Kindle Vella and looking toward releasing Same Light as a complete novel after The Light At The Top Of The World.

I don't know if the episodic nature of Kindle Vella just isn't right for my readers or if something in the early chapters turned people off. Personally, I wouldn't enjoy waiting for each chapter, but wanted to check out this new publishing platform. It might be better for a volume of "Postcards from Mordania", episodes and stories that had to be cut from the novels, but that can stand alone in their own right.

Either way, I'm going to leave Same Light available until the twelve chapters I've posted are all live for readers - then I'll make a decision.

Sometimes being self-published (and traditionally published as well) is a bit of a mystery - why some things work and some things don't. I haven't had much feedback about Same Light, so am shuffling along in the dark. However much I love the story, I'd be more than willing to lay it aside for now to give it a better chance as a completed novel down the road.
